More AboutJoshua
I've always enjoyed playing sports as a kid from baseball to basketball or whatever else we could dream up. Love the teamwork and friendships you build in the team atmosphere. Played softball for 25+ years, but new hobby is golf. Learned you can always go farther with a solid team behind you then you can by your sled! Who is in your corner?
Turning Point
One turning point for me was knowing it’s ok to fail. And just trying your best is good enough. Even if you don’t win. As I was growing up I developed an internal voice that I needed to be better. If I failed I wasn’t good enough. If I went 3-4 in a baseball game, why did I get out one time. While it’s not all bad and that can drive you to be better, it can be a bad voice where you can’t appreciate the effort you are putting in. It’s ok to go for a PR and fail. Sometimes that happens but if you have your all, it’s still a win. And that PR will come in time.
Motivation & Passion
My biggest passion in coaching is watching someone do something they have never done before or never thought was possible. Anything from their first pull-up or push-up to hitting a new PR. I love to encourage people and showing them that belief in them to achieve new things!
